Megatherium sundti
Taxonomy
Megatherium sundti was named by Philippi (1893). Its type specimen is SGO PV 277 (formerly 5-VI-67/2), a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Río Desaguadero, Ulloma, Oruro, which is in a Pleistocene lacustrine - large sandstone in the Ulloma Formation of Bolivia.
