Comptonia wightensis was named by Breton (1992). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Natural History Museum, London, holotype BMNH 48620.

G. Breton 1992 | Arms long and slender. R/r equals approximately three. Interradial arc parabolic. Marginal squared in the arm and a bit wider in the disc. Superomarginals separated on the whole length of the arm by a row of radial abactinals. External face convex, slightly domed to saddle shaped. Ornament of fine and dense granule pits bearing granules uniformly distributed. Marginals low, not curved. |
