Comptoniaster schlumbergeri
Taxonomy
Anthenea schlumbergeri was named by de Loriol (1889). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Geological Museum, Cairo, n°781. It was considered monophyletic by Breton (1992).
It was recombined as Comptonia schlumbergeri by de Loriol (1909); it was recombined as Comptoniaster schlumbergeri by Breton (1983) and Breton (1992).

G. Breton 1992 | Disk flat. Abactinal plates small, rounded, relatively convex with ornament of fine dense, homogeneous granule-pits and a central bulge bearing valvate pedicellariae. Superomarginal plates wide, short, slightly convex with ornament of fine dense granule-pits. Most of superomarginal plates bear a valvate pedicellariae on abradial face. Inferomarginal plates larger than superomarginals. A few bear pedicellariae. Adambulacral plates small, rectangular, wider than high. Actinolateral plates squared, paved. |
