Taxonomy

Arsinoitherium was named by Beadnell (1902).

It was assigned to Embrithopoda by Court (1990); and to Arsinoitheriidae by Andrews (1906), Rasmussen and Gutierrez (2009), Gheerbrant et al. (2021).
