Daidia was named by Wilson (1951) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l O Ashg-m Sepkoski's reference number: 797]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Microdomatidae by Knight et al. (1960); to Straparollinidae by Wagner (1999); and to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002).
