W. D. Allmon 1996Shell medium-sized to very large, of 15-25 whorls. Protoconch of 0.75-2.5 smooth, rounded whorls with small P1. Aprical sculpture formula C1B2A3. Profile of adult whorls round to basically carinate. Sculpture consisting of multiple simple, moderately developed spiral ribs. Apical angle less than or equal to pleural angle. Lateral sinus of the "hybrida-imbricataria" type, basinal sinus of moderate deep aand simple.
