Deinogalerix brevirostris
Taxonomy
Deinogalerix brevirostris was named by Butler (1980). It is not extant. Its type specimen is RGM 179134, a skull. Its type locality is San Giovannino, which is in a Vallesian/Turolian fissure fill horizon in Italy.

Differs from D. koenigswaldi in that the face is much shorter, postcanine teeth much less spaces and sagittal crest is lower. |
