Taxonomy
Spiroscala was named by Knight (1945) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi P Tatr Sepkoski's reference number: 157,797]. It is not extant. Its type is Spiroscala pagoda.

It was assigned to Ptychomphalides by Knight et al. (1960); to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eotomariinae by Karapunar and Nützel (2022).
