Desmanella sickenbergi was named by Engesser (1980). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NMB Sar. 130, a tooth (M1 sup. sin.). Its type locality is Saricay, which is in a MN 7 + 8 terrestrial horizon in Türkiye.

| B. Engesser 1980 | Neuer Art von Desmanella, deren P4 einen sehr voluminösen, stark verlängerten Aussenhügel und einen sher kurzen Innenhügel aufweist. M1 ohne oder mit ganz schwachen Parastyl und mit sehr kurzen Lingualteil. Postcingulum von M1 und M2 endigt an der basis des Metaconulus, ohne bis zum Protoconus weiterzuziehen. m1 und m2 mit relativ schwachen Cingulum, welches an der Basis des Hypoconids immer und an der Basis des Protoconids meist unterbrochen ist. m1 grösser als m2 oder zumindest gleich gross. p4 mit niedriger, nach hinten gerichten Spitze. |
