Taxonomy
Heterosorex ruemkeae was named by Doukas (1986) [University of Athens (AMPG) collection]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMPG AL 3361, a tooth (M2 sin.). Its type locality is Aliveri, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in Greece.
