Shandgolictis constans
Taxonomy
Viverravus constans was named by Matthew and Granger (1924). Its type specimen is AMNH 19130, a mandible (fragment of a right mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loh, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.
It was synonymized subjectively with Stenoplesictis elegans by Dashzeveg (1996); it was recombined as Shandgolictis constans by Hunt (1998).
