Xenoposeidon proneneukos
Taxonomy
Xenoposeidon proneneukos was named by Taylor and Naish (2007). Its type specimen is BMNH R2095, a set of vertebrae (mid-posterior dorsal vertebra), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ecclesbourne Glen (BMNH), which is in a Berriasian/Valanginian terrestrial horizon in the Ashdown Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Xenoposeidon.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Mannion and Calvo (2011), D'Emic (2012) and Mannion et al. (2013).
