Pyozia mesenensis
Taxonomy
Pyozia mesenensis was named by Anderson and Reisz (2004). Its type specimen is PIN 3717/33, a partial skeleton (anterior trunk incl. skull), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Ust'-Nyafta, PIN 3717, Lower Mezen' River, which is in a Kazanian/Urzhumian terrestrial horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Pyozia.
