Biretia piveteaui
Taxonomy
Biretia piveteaui was named by de Bonis et al. (1988). Its type specimen is BRT 17-84, a tooth (right lower M1), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Bir El Ater, which is in a Bartonian/Priabonian deltaic sandstone in Algeria. It is the type species of Biretia.
