Taxonomy
Keeneia twelvetreesi was named by Dun (1913). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Great Bend of Mersey River, Latrobe, which is in an Asselian marine mudstone in the Quamby Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Paraplatyschisma twelvetreesi by Waterhouse (1988) and Wagner (2023).
