Taxonomy
Osteomya (Yunnanomya) ninglangensis was named by Guo (1985). Its type specimen is IVy 0212, a shell (Articulated steinkern), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Laidashi, Ninglang County, which is in an Anisian marine horizon in the Beiya Formation of China.
