Taxonomy
Terebra sinuosum was named by de Sowerby and Murchison (1839) [Terebra? sinuosum de Sowerby in Murchison 1839]. It is not extant. It is the type species of Loxonema.

It was recombined as Loxonema sinuosa by Chapman (1916); it was recombined as Loxonema sinuosum by Phillips (1841), Donald (1905), Perner (1907), Longstaff (1909), Knight (1941), Peel (1977), Blodgett and Johnson (1992), Heidelberger (2001) and Wagner (2023).
