Pseudotoucasia was named by Douvillé (1911) [Sepkoski's age data: K Apti-u K Albi-u]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Hippuritoida by Sepkoski (2002); to Requieniidae by Kiessling (2003); and to Requieniinae by Skelton (2013).
