Taxonomy
Glyptapis fuscula was named by Cockerell (1909). Its type specimen is G4668 (IMGP), an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
