Necronectes proavita
Taxonomy
Gatunia proavita was named by Rathbun (1918). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 5659, Gatun Dam, which is in a Tortonian marine siliciclastic in the Gatun Formation of Panama.
It was recombined as Necronectes proavita by Vega et al. (1999); it was recombined as Necronectes proavitus by Collins and Morris (1976), Schweitzer et al. (2002), Schweitzer et al. (2010) and Luque et al. (2017).
