Taxonomy
Tripedocorbis blackae was named by Hori et al. (2011). Its type specimen is ESEU Coll. MR0010, 6.7m, RH837 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Horizon R10/f177/0.7, WHK1 Section, Waiheke Island, which is in an Induan basinal (siliceous) chert in New Zealand.
