Callipurbeckia tendaguruensis
Taxonomy
Lepidotes tendaguruensis was named by Arratia and Schultze (1999). Its type specimen is MB.f.7040a- b, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Tendaguru quarry XII, which is in a Tithonian estuary/bay marl in the Tendaguru Formation of Tanzania.
It was recombined as Callipurbeckia tendaguruensis by López-Arbarello (2012).
