Gymnoichthys inopinatus
Taxonomy
Gymnoichthys inopinatus was named by Tintori et al. (2010). Its type specimen is GMPKU-P-1483, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Dawazi, upper vertebrate horizon (=Member 2), Luoping County, which is in a Pelsonian shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Guanling Formation of China.
