It was assigned to Spiriferacea by Kirk and Amsden (1952); to Nucleospiridae by Talent (1963), Bassett and Cocks (1974), Jones (1982), Jin and Chatterton (1997), Musteikis and Modzalevskaya (2002) and Williams et al. (2002); and to Spiriferida by Sepkoski (2002).
