Taxonomy
Marcopoloichthys andreetti was named by Tintori et al. (2008). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Road from Castelveccana to San Antonio, which is in a Fassanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Cunardo Formation of Italy.
