Taxonomy
Arnoldina iniistia was named by Jordan and Gilbert (1919). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sunset Bluff, which is in a Pliocene marine shale in California.

It was recombined as Arnoldites iniistia by Fierstine et al. (2012).
