Taxonomy
Eocenochelus lacombianus was named by Pérez-García et al. (2017). Its type specimen is MNHN.F EBA 534, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Soulane, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial marl in France.
