Taxonomy
Ceratites hungaricus was named by Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Forráshegy, Felsõ-örs (reitzi Zone), which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in Hungary.
It was recombined as Parakellnerites hungaricus by Vörös (2018).
