Thomasiphyllum carcinophylloides
Taxonomy
Iranophyllum carcinophylloides was named by Douglas (1936). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tapileh, which is in a Guadalupian carbonate limestone in Iran. It is the type species of Pavastehphyllum (Sakamotosawanella).
It was recombined as Pavastehphyllum (Sakamotosawanella) carcinophylloides by Minato and Kato (1965); it was recombined as Thomasiphyllum carcinophylloides by Wu and Zhang (1979).
