Taxonomy
Aletomeryx gracilis was named by Lull (1920) [genotype]. Its type locality is Aletomeryx Quarry, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Runningwater Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Aletomeryx.
