Leptictis thomsoni
Taxonomy
Ictops thomsoni was named by Matthew (1903). Its type specimen is AMNH 9606, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pipestone Springs, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial claystone in the Renova Formation of Montana.
It was recombined as Leptictis thomsoni by Novacek (1976); it was recombined as Stenoleptictis thomsoni by Matthew (1903) and Korth (2022).
