Trigenicus profectus
Taxonomy
Leptotragulus profectus was named by Matthew (1903). Its type specimen is AMNH 9681, 9682, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pipestone Springs, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial claystone in the Renova Formation of Montana.
It was recombined as Eotylopus profectus by Matthew (1910) and Frick (1937); it was recombined as Trigenicus profectus by Storer (1996).
