Taxonomy
Loxonema torquatum was named by Perner (1907). It is not extant. Its type locality is Lower Kopanina Beds, Karlštejn (= Karlstein), which is in a Gorstian carbonate limestone in the Kopanina Formation of the Czech Republic.
