Taxonomy
Straparolus australis was named by Maxwell (1961). It is not extant. Its type locality is L. 1970, 250' north of Splinter Creek, ~3300' ENE of Old Cannidah Homestead, which is in an Ivorian carbonate conglomerate in the Tellebang Formation of Australia.
