• Cowra Trough. This is deeper part of sequence that ultimately shallows up into Mandagery Park limestone (PBDB collection 24900).

• "In the type area...310 m of olive-green shale...At its base it weathers easily...The middle is more lithified...Towards the top the formation becomes more calcareous and passes upwards into the basal limestones of the Mandagery Park Formation..."
