Type specimen: Holotype USNM 123570, paratypes USNM 123571a-o.. Its type locality is quarry of the Medusa Portland Cement, Rock River, Dixon, Lee County, which is in a Blackriveran marine wackestone in the Mifflin Formation of illinois.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder-detritivore
Distribution:
• Carboniferous of United States (2: Kentucky, Missouri collections)
• Ordovician of United States (4: Minnesota, Oklahoma, illinois)
Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
