Type specimen: OSU 27359, a shell. Its type locality is LIho-4. along the north-south road ~ 0.8 km north of former Fairview School and south of BR 1085, which is in an Atokan coastal shale/limestone in the Pottsville Formation of Ohio.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Virgilian of United States (3: Colorado, New Mexico collections)

• Atokan of United States (1: Ohio)

• Carboniferous of Brazil (1)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
