Type specimen: Iowa State University, unnumbered, a shell (Articulated internal mould). Its type locality is Quanah, Hardeman County, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Blaine Formation of Texas.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Permian of Mexico (1 collection), the Russian Federation (1), United States (16: Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas)
