Type specimen: USNM 140490, a valve (Partially reconstructed right valve). Its type locality is Hidden Pastures (Franson Mb), Big Sheep Canyon, Beaverhead County, which is in a Wuchiapingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Park City Formation of Montana.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Permian of United States (17: Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming collections)
