Type specimen: UCMP 121734, a partial shell (fragmentary shell with nearly complete plastron, partial carapace, and ilium). Its type locality is UCMP V76186, Lone Tree White Layer West, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
