Type specimen: University of Missouri No. 509 V.P., a partial skeleton. Its type locality is East of Monterey, which is in a Coniacian/Santonian marine claystone in the San Felipe Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at East of Monterey
