Type specimen: HMG-12, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Pankerusano-sawa Creek (Locality B), which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Hakobuchi Formation of Japan.

Distribution: found only at Pankerusano-sawa Creek (Locality B)
