Type specimen: MNU-071/18, a partial skeleton (Skull including the occipital condyles, parts of the facial region of the left maxilla and frontal, both nasals and a fragment of the right frontal of the verte). Its type locality is Grosse-Pampau, which is in a Serravallian offshore shelf claystone in the Glimmerton Formation of Germany.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Grosse-Pampau
