Sister taxa: Colbertia lumbrerense, Colbertia magellanica

Type specimen: IBIGEO-P 67, a mandible (left mandibular fragment). Its type locality is Camino de los Colorados road, Quebrada Grande, which is in a Lutetian floodplain siltstone/conglomerate in the Quebrada de los Colorados Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial herbivore

Distribution: found only at Camino de los Colorados road, Quebrada Grande
