Type specimen: NMNS PM 27999, a shell. Its type locality is Kakuma, which is in a Langhian marine sandstone/mudstone in the Kurosedani Formation of Japan.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder-chemosymbiotic
Distribution: found only at Kakuma
