Sister taxa: Dianops algeriensis, Dianops anophthalmus, Dianops kaufmannii, Dianops limbatus, Dianops typhlops, Dianops vicarius

Type specimen: T1268, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Top of upper member, 1.5 km east of Daihua, which is in a Famennian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Daihua Formation of China.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Top of upper member, 1.5 km east of Daihua
