Belongs to Dianops according to M. Basse and U. Lemke 2023

Sister taxa: Dianops algeriensis, Dianops anophthalmus, Dianops limbatus, Dianops quizhouensis, Dianops typhlops, Dianops vicarius

Type specimen: SMF 57498, a cephalon/head. Its type locality is Oese section, topmost 35 cm, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Wocklum Limestone Formation of Germany.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Brook north of Apricke
