Sister taxa: Daphoenodon (Borocyon), Daphoenodon notionastes, Daphoenodon skinneri, Daphoenodon superbus
Type specimen: F:AM 54144, a skeleton (complete skull and associated mandibles). Its type locality is Eighteen Mile District, which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution:
• Harrisonian of United States (4: Nebraska, Wyoming collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
