Type specimen: MNA Pl. 1612, a set of vertebrae (trunk vertebra). Its type locality is Hogback South, MNA Locality A, which is in a Campanian terrestrial mudstone/sandstone in the Fruitland Formation of New Mexico.

Distribution: found only at Hogback South, MNA Locality A
