Uberinterna was named by Sashida and Tonishi (1988) [Sepkoski's age data: P u Sepkoski's reference number: ZR89]. It is not extant. Its type is Uberinterna virgispinosum.
It was assigned to Spumellaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Entactiniidae by Feng and Gu (2002), Noble et al. (2017).
